Mercedes Fresno unveils $4 million dealership renovation, mayor praises upgrade
Mercedes-Benz of Fresno finished a $4 million Palm and Herndon renovation, adding 120 free loaners and an open service floor as Mayor Jerry Dyer called it a “first class” investment.

Mercedes-Benz of Fresno has turned its North Palm Avenue store into a bigger bet on Fresno’s luxury car market, finishing a $4 million renovation that adds 55-inch touchscreen kiosks, an open service floor and 120 no-cost loaner vehicles for customers.
The dealership, at the northwest corner of Palm and Herndon avenues, unveiled the project on April 14 at its 56,331-square-foot facility, drawing Mayor Jerry Dyer and a packed crowd to the remodeled showroom and service department. KC Cheema, the dealership’s general manager, said the goal was to make the guest experience faster and better.
The eight-month construction schedule pushed crews to work around the clock to finish on time. The building itself dates to 2003 and sits on 5.31 acres at 7055 N. Palm Ave., a location that has long made the site one of Fresno’s visible auto addresses. The renovation replaces the older, more segmented customer flow with a more open service layout, eliminating the private cubicles that once defined the experience.
That service redesign may matter as much as the showroom facelift. Mercedes-Benz of Fresno expanded its waiting and advising areas and now offers 120 loaner vehicles at no cost, with or without an appointment. For drivers who rely on premium service scheduling, the change gives the dealership a stronger position in a market where convenience can be as important as brand name.

Alpha Auto Group, a Toronto-based auto retail consolidator, has owned Mercedes-Benz of Fresno since buying it from dealer principal Scott Biehl in December 2022. The renovation is a sign the new ownership is willing to put fresh capital into a Fresno property that already occupies a prominent corner on one of the city’s most traveled commercial corridors.
Dyer’s appearance added civic weight to the event, underscoring the role the dealership plays in the local economy and in the image Fresno projects to high-end buyers. He praised the project as a “first class” investment, a nod to the scale of the upgrade and the confidence behind it.
The remodel also raises the competitive stakes on the Palm Avenue auto strip. With more space, faster service tools and a larger loaner fleet, Mercedes-Benz of Fresno is signaling that the battle for affluent customers in Fresno is shifting from simple inventory to the full ownership experience.
