Michael Delsid faces 36th arrest after Fresno County deputy chase near Clinton
Michael Delsid, 46, was arrested after a deputy used a PIT maneuver to stop a pickup near Clinton and Marks avenues; authorities say it marks his 36th arrest.

Fresno County deputies arrested 46-year-old Michael Delsid after a pursuit that ended near Clinton and Marks avenues when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said; officials say this is Delsid’s 36th arrest.
Detectives attempted to pull Delsid over Tuesday afternoon while he was driving a pickup truck, the sheriff’s office reported. Instead of stopping, deputies say Delsid fled and led officers on a chase through Fresno that concluded when a deputy used what KMPH described as “a tactic designed to safely spin out a fleeing vehicle.” Investigators say the truck spun, hit a curb and came to a stop.
Deputies, assisted by officers from other local agencies assigned to the Adult Compliance Team, took Delsid into custody without any injuries or damage to property, investigators said. He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges that include evading police, reckless driving and probation violations.
Sheriff’s Office records show Delsid also had outstanding warrants tied to robbery, domestic violence, violating a protection order and dissuading a victim from testifying. Authorities added that, at this time, he is not eligible for bail and remains in custody at the Fresno County Jail pending further processing.

Delsid’s criminal history dates back to 1994 and includes drug offenses, property crimes and violent crimes, according to investigators. Records cited by investigators note he most recently served six months in the Fresno County Jail in 2025 for probation violations and violating a protective order.
Investigators are asking anyone with additional information about the chase or Delsid’s activity to contact the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. A social media post with images of the arrest drew dozens of reactions and comments in a captured screenshot, with users posting lines such as “Where's the 3 strikes?” and “Getting arrested 36 times is crazy,” reflecting local frustration with repeat offenders.
Pending verification of formal charges and case numbers from the district attorney’s office, the sheriff’s office has not released further details about the pickup’s description or the pursuit route through Fresno. Journalists and community members seeking updates should expect booking and charging information to be added to county records as the case is filed.
