Shoppers at Shaw and Leonard avenues saw a new sign pointing to something familiar and increasingly common in Fresno County’s retail map: another Paris Baguette is moving into Clovis. The bakery-cafe chain is taking space at Loma Vista Marketplace, adding a second Clovis-area foothold for a brand that already has a Fresno location at Marketplace at El Paseo and another at Villaggio Shopping Center.

The expansion matters because it shows Paris Baguette is not treating Clovis as an isolated bet. Instead, the South Korea-based chain is deepening its presence across the Fresno-Clovis corridor, where commercial centers compete on everyday convenience as much as on destination dining. The new store is expected to open in late August or September, giving southeast and north Clovis shoppers another near-term option for coffee, breakfast, dessert and quick meals.

Paris Baguette’s menu is built for more than pastries alone. The company says the Clovis location will offer cakes, tarts, donuts, croissants, sandwiches, salads, teas and lattes, along with handcrafted cakes, freshly baked breads and Lavazza coffee. That mix positions the shop to capture morning commuters, parents making after-school stops and customers looking for a light lunch or a sweet treat without leaving the shopping center.

The move also fits the larger growth pattern at Loma Vista Marketplace itself. City of Clovis planning pages describe Loma Vista as a planned urban center, and the city has said it prioritizes completion of the area. Development materials describe Loma Vista Marketplace as about 181,000 square feet of dining, shopping and daily-needs space at the southwest corner of Shaw and Leonard, built to serve a fast-growing residential base rather than one-off traffic.

Paris Baguette’s footprint has been expanding well beyond Clovis. Company materials say it launched in 1988 in South Korea, and prior local reporting said the chain has more than 4,000 locations worldwide, about 200 in the United States and a North American goal of 1,000 bakeries by 2030. The company’s Clovis page already lists a location at 3640 Shaw Avenue, underscoring how firmly the brand is planting itself along the city’s growth corridor.

Loma Vista Marketplace is also attracting other major tenants. Local reporting in 2025 showed Panda Express under construction there, reinforcing the center’s role as a clustered retail node rather than a stand-alone project. For Clovis shoppers, the arrival of Paris Baguette adds another sign that the city’s newest commercial district is moving from blueprint to daily habit.
