Reedley man charged with murder in Dinuba double homicide, prosecutors say
A Reedley man is charged with two murders after police say he shot his ex-wife and her boyfriend outside a Dinuba home. Investigators recovered two vehicles and what they believe was the gun.

A Reedley man is facing two murder charges after Dinuba police say he shot and killed his ex-wife and her new boyfriend outside a home in Dinuba, a case that has rattled families on both sides of the Fresno-Tulare county line.
Miguel Angel Saldana Garcia, 43, was charged by the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office in the deaths of Irai Torres, 39, and Jose Medina, 51. Prosecutors said the killings “took planning,” and the case remains under active investigation as detectives continue to piece together the moments before and after the shooting. Police have described the killings as involving Saldana Garcia’s ex-wife and her boyfriend.
Dinuba police said officers were sent to the 1200 block of Brent Avenue after multiple 911 calls came in just before or around 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026. When they arrived, they found Torres and Medina in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Saldana Garcia fled in a white truck and later switched vehicles as he tried to get away. With help from the Reedley Police Department, officers tracked him back to Reedley and arrested him outside the Dinuba Police Department. Police said they recovered both vehicles involved in the getaway and believe they also recovered the gun used in the shootings.

The case has drawn attention in Dinuba because it appears tied to a domestic dispute that turned deadly in a neighborhood setting, just outside a home where neighbors heard the emergency calls unfold in real time. Dinuba Unified School District said it is offering support services because one of the victims was related to a student in the district. Torres and Medina also leave behind multiple children, deepening the loss for relatives and classmates now dealing with the aftermath.
Authorities have not said the investigation is finished. Dinuba police are asking anyone with information to come forward as detectives continue to examine the circumstances of the shooting, the vehicle switch, and the sequence that led from Brent Avenue back to Reedley. The charges filed this week mark the first formal step in the case, but investigators say more evidence is still being gathered.
