Artist and vendor applications are open for the Selma Arts and Culture Fest, set for April 24 on High Street in Selma. The outdoor festival, organized by the Selma Arts Center and the City of Selma, runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in front of the arts center at 1935 High Street.

The event is billed as a community celebration drawing talent from across the region. According to the Selma Arts Center, the festival will highlight local dance and music groups, public art displays, readings, cultural food, and artistic vendors, with a stated goal of exposing the Selma community to artisans from throughout the valley.

Samantha Valles, the City of Selma's community services coordinator, is serving as a key coordinator and spokesperson for the festival. The Selma Arts Center and City of Selma are co-organizing the event, which is part of a broader calendar of community programming planned for 2026.

Organizers are actively recruiting participants. Cultural groups, artists, performers, craft vendors, and food vendors are all invited to apply. Food and arts-and-craft vendors can register through the City of Selma's events page at cityofselma.com/community/events.php. Performers and those interested in appearing on stage can reach the Selma Arts Center directly at (559) 891-2237 or by email at nicolettea@cityofselma.com.

The production team behind the festival includes stage manager Glenda Stewart, assistant stage managers Jessica Williams and Sherman Moon, sound designer Ronny Bounthapanya, and producer Claudio Laso. Marketing and design is led by Toph Ortiz.

Updates on the Arts and Culture Fest and other upcoming community events can be found on the Selma Arts Center and Selma SPARCS social media pages. Those with general inquiries can also contact the arts center at the High Street location during regular business hours.
