Teen killed, child critically injured in Fresno intersection crash
A white truck hit a motorcycle carrying a 17-year-old and an 11-year-old near Bullard and Palm. The teen died and the child was critically injured.

A 17-year-old was killed and an 11-year-old child was left in critical condition after a crash near Bullard and Palm avenues in northwest Fresno, a collision that shut down the intersection and drew an urgent response from police Friday night.
Fresno police said multiple calls came in just before 10:40 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, reporting a traffic collision at the busy intersection. Officers found that a white truck traveling eastbound on Bullard Avenue had collided with a motorcycle carrying the two young riders.

Police gave medical aid at the scene before both victims were taken to the hospital. The 17-year-old was later pronounced dead, while the 11-year-old was listed in critical condition. The names of the victims have not been released.
Investigators said the truck driver is cooperating with the case. At this point, police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, though the cause remains under investigation.

The intersection of Palm and Bullard avenues was blocked off after the collision as officers worked the scene and began sorting out what led to the impact. The crash adds to persistent concern in Fresno about severe injury risks on city streets, especially at intersections where drivers, riders and pedestrians can all be exposed in an instant.
