Three Reedley Juveniles Arrested After Scooter Robbery; Gun Recovered, Gang-Linked
Three Reedley juveniles were arrested after a boy on a scooter was robbed on El Dorado Avenue; a gun was seized, raising safety concerns for parents and riders.

Three Reedley juveniles were arrested after the robbery of a boy riding a scooter in the 900 block of El Dorado Avenue, and detectives recovered a firearm and other evidence after serving search warrants, police say. The arrests and evidence signal heightened concern about youth violence and alleged gang involvement in the city.
Back on January 13 a juvenile riding a scooter was reportedly assaulted and robbed on El Dorado Avenue. "Reedley police were informed that a teen, riding his scooter, was assaulted and robbed by four suspects around El Dorado Avenue on January 13th," according to local reporting. Investigators later focused on three juveniles, whose ages have been reported as 14, 15 and 16.
Detectives executed multiple search warrants on January 23. "Detectives served multiple search warrants on Jan. 23 and recovered a firearm and other evidence connected to the incident;" authorities said. Media reports describe the warrant service as part of a broader operation, with some outlets calling it a multi-agency effort that led to the arrests. "Officers conducted multiple searches, which led to the arrest of three male teens, ages 16,15, and 14 years old," one local report noted.
Police have tied the arrests and recovered items to their robbery investigation, but formal charging details, suspect names and juvenile court information have not been released. Officials have also characterized the case as linked to gang activity. "At this time, investigators say the incident appears to be gang-related." KMPH reporting said investigators identified three of the four suspects and that those identified "have connections to local gangs."
For Reedley and Fresno County residents, the episode underscores the vulnerability of young people using scooters and walking in public spaces, and it raises questions about gang influence among local teens. Parents, school administrators and community leaders are likely to press for clarity on whether the recovered firearm was used in the robbery and whether additional suspects remain at large. Police and prosecutors will determine formal charges and any potential gang enhancements through the juvenile justice process.
