Two People Stabbed Near Downtown Fresno Art Hop Event Thursday Night
A man and woman were stabbed near Fresno's Art Hop Thursday night; 7 people detained as Fulton Street closed between Kern and Inyo.

A man and a woman were stabbed near Downtown Fresno's monthly Art Hop event Thursday night, sending both victims to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Fresno police.
The stabbings occurred at a location separate from the Art Hop gathering itself, which draws crowds to Fulton Street each Thursday evening. Police confirmed the two victims are expected to survive, though the circumstances that led to the violence were not immediately known.
Seven people were detained in connection with the incident but had not been arrested as of early Friday morning. Police said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
Fulton Street was shut down between Kern and Inyo streets for several hours as officers worked the scene, cutting through the heart of the same corridor where Art Hop foot traffic was concentrated. The closure blocked a stretch of one of downtown Fresno's most trafficked pedestrian zones on one of its busiest nights of the month.
No suspect information had been released and the investigation remained active.
