Two Teens Hospitalized After West Central Fresno Apartment Stabbing, Two Arrested
A 12-year-old and a 38-year-old drove away from Westwood Village Apartments after stabbing a 19-year-old man and assaulting a 15-year-old girl Tuesday afternoon.

A fight at the Westwood Village Apartments on Shields and Valentine avenues turned violent Tuesday afternoon, leaving a 19-year-old man with stab wounds to the groin and upper torso and a 15-year-old girl with a possible concussion. Fresno Police arrested two suspects: a 12-year-old juvenile and a 38-year-old adult.
Officers responded to the complex in West Central Fresno just after 4 p.m. on March 4 for reports of a fight. When they arrived, they found both victims suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The 19-year-old had been stabbed twice; the 15-year-old had been assaulted. Both were transported to the hospital and were listed in stable condition.
The suspects did not wait for police to arrive. Investigators say the two drove away from the scene before officers got there but were later located and taken into custody. The 12-year-old was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center, while the 38-year-old was booked into Fresno County Jail. Fresno Police have not publicly released the names of either suspect.
Police say a disturbance preceded the assault, though no motive has been identified and no formal charges have been announced. It remains unclear whether the juvenile and the adult suspect are related to each other or to the victims.
