Bennett College is turning its centennial celebration into a public-facing gathering, bringing singer 803Fresh to Belle Fest 2026 and using the event to draw alumni, students and Greensboro residents onto the Sports Complex Field on campus.

The outdoor event is scheduled for Friday, May 15, from noon to 4 p.m. at Bennett College in Greensboro. Along with the live performance from the “Boots on the Ground” singer, Belle Fest will feature local food trucks, vendors, shopping and local makers, giving the college a festival setting that reaches beyond a traditional concert announcement.

Belle Fest is the kickoff to Centennial Alumnae Weekend 2026, which runs May 14 through May 17 and marks 100 years since Bennett’s 1926 reorganization as a college for women. The college has framed the milestone around the theme “Women. Learn. Lead.” and says the weekend is meant to celebrate impact, legacy and sisterhood among Bennett Belles.

That broader positioning matters for Greensboro. Bennett is not just booking entertainment for its own community, it is opening its campus for an event that invites the surrounding city into the celebration. Registration is encouraged but not required, a sign that the college wants Belle Fest to feel accessible to a wider public, not only alumni returning for the centennial.

The weekend package also shows that Bennett is building the event as a larger draw. Full weekend registration costs $225 and includes admission to all on-campus events plus Centennial Belle Swag. A la carte tickets will be available for ticketed events, and accompanying guests may attend if they have a ticket. Along with Belle Fest, the centennial schedule includes the White Breakfast, President’s Tea and a Golden Class Breakfast honoring the Class of 1976.

Interim President Teresa Hardee, who began her tenure on June 1, 2025, is leading Bennett at a pivotal moment in the college’s multi-year centennial celebration. For Guilford County, the likely value of Belle Fest is not just the performance itself but the daytime foot traffic it should bring to Bennett’s campus, the vendors on site and the wider neighborhood around the college. In a city where campus events can spill into nearby blocks, Bennett is using its centennial weekend to make its presence felt well beyond the gates.
