Greensboro Man, 19, Arrested After Late-Night Shooting on Hahns Lane
Doneal Clifford Belo Jr., 19, faces a felony charge carrying serious injury after police say he opened fire during an altercation on Hahns Lane Monday night.

Doneal Clifford Belo Jr., 19, was arrested Tuesday after Greensboro police say he shot a man during a late-night altercation in the 3900 block of Hahns Lane, leaving the victim hospitalized and Belo facing a felony charge that carries language of intent to kill.
Officers responded around 10:12 p.m. Monday after a caller reported a shooting at the Hahns Lane address. A preliminary investigation indicated an altercation escalated to the point where Belo fired shots at another man. The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital; police described his injuries as appearing non-life-threatening.
Belo did not remain at the scene. Detectives with the Greensboro Police Department's Violent Crime Reduction Team tracked him to the area of Apache Street and Avalon Road, where they took him into custody without incident on Tuesday.

He faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, along with a misdemeanor charge of discharging a firearm within city limits. Belo is being held in the Guilford County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
The victim's identity has not been released. Police have not disclosed a motive for the altercation, the relationship between Belo and the victim, or whether a firearm was recovered. The Guilford County District Attorney's office has not issued a statement on the case, and no court date has been publicly announced.
