Greensboro Man Arrested After Alleged Strangulation Assault on Hahns Lane
Layor Joshua Williams, 30, was arrested after an alleged Feb. 15 strangulation and breaking into a home on the 3900 block of Hahns Lane; he posted $10,000 bond and was released under no-contact and electronic monitoring.

Layor Joshua Williams, 30, was arrested by Greensboro police Sunday in connection with an incident Feb. 15 in the 3900 block of Hahns Lane that left a woman with red marks on her neck, according to court documents. Police charged Williams with assault by strangulation, assault of an individual with a disability, breaking and/or entering, and misdemeanor domestic violence.
Court documents say Williams was previously in a dating relationship with the woman and that during the alleged assault he “left red marks on her neck.” The documents also state he entered the residence “with intent to commit a felony” and that a second woman living in the home, described as having a disability, was shoved and struck but unharmed.
Greensboro police arrested Williams in connection with the Hahns Lane incident and prosecutors filed the listed charges. Court records show his bond was set at $10,000 and that online court records indicate he posted bond on Monday and was released that day. Court records further show he was released subject to no-contact conditions and domestic violence electronic monitoring.
The case is being handled in Guilford County District Court, and court records list a hearing scheduled for April 8, 2026. Court filings and the docket currently reflect the charge list and the post-bond conditions that prohibit contact with the alleged victims and require compliance with monitoring.
These are allegations; Williams has not been convicted. Court documents and arrest records form the basis for the charges and the details about the victims and alleged conduct, and further information can be confirmed through Guilford County eCourts and the district court docket.
Separately, police arrested Jackie Dontrel Watson, 31, in an unrelated set of cases reported Jan. 5, 2026. Watson faces charges including assault by strangulation, felony child abuse, and misdemeanor domestic violence, and in a separate incident is charged with assault inflicting serious injury and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse. Watson was held in the High Point Jail on a $60,000 bond, and warrants for his cases are available via Guilford County eCourts.
Anyone affected by the incidents or seeking support can contact the Guilford County Family Justice Center at 336-641-SAFE (7233). If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
