Greensboro motorcyclist seriously injured in Randleman Road crash
A Greensboro motorcyclist was thrown from his Suzuki after it struck a curb at Randleman Road and West Florida Street and flipped several times.

A Greensboro motorcyclist was seriously hurt Saturday night after his Suzuki GSX1300R left Randleman Road at West Florida Street, struck a curb and flipped several times, police said.
Greensboro police said the motorcycle was traveling north on Randleman Road when it entered the intersection, veered off the left side of the road and continued through a grassy median before the rider was ejected. The wreck shows how quickly a brief loss of control can turn deadly on a major city corridor, especially when a bike hits a fixed object like a curb and then rolls through a median.
The rider was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police said impairment is not believed to have been a factor, narrowing the focus to the mechanics of the crash itself, including speed, lane position and the impact with the curb.

The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating what caused the motorcycle to leave the roadway and flip multiple times. Additional details are not immediately available for release, including the rider’s identity and the exact time of the crash.
Randleman Road carries steady traffic through Greensboro and serves as a key route for commuters heading across the city and deeper into Guilford County. A serious motorcycle crash at that intersection adds to the urgency around how fast a rider can go from moving normally to fighting for recovery, even when alcohol or drugs are not suspected.
