Greensboro Swarm Clinch 2026 G League Playoffs, First Team to Secure Berth

Antonio Reeves scored 27 points and eight Greensboro players reached double figures as the Swarm clinched a spot in the 2026 NBA G League Playoffs with a 136-116 victory over the Delaware Blue Coats at Novant Health Fieldhouse on Wednesday, according to team and ESPN recaps dated March 12, 2026.

Greensboro became the first team in the NBA G League to secure a postseason spot this season and will make its second consecutive playoff appearance. At 21-9, the Swarm lead the Eastern Conference in total wins with six regular-season games still to play. Under the league's current format, Greensboro is positioned to host its first-ever home playoff game at Novant Health Fieldhouse on March 31 or April 1 as a projected top-four seed in the Eastern Conference. Tickets for potential Round 1 and Round 2 home games go on sale Wednesday, March 18, at 10 a.m. ET.

The Swarm took control from the opening tip, outscoring Delaware 34-18 in the first quarter and pushing their lead to 77-54 by halftime. Greensboro built its largest advantage of the night at 34 points and never allowed the Blue Coats, who fell to 14-14, to threaten seriously. The interior battle also went to the Swarm, who outscored Delaware 68-60 in the paint.

Reeves headlined a deep scoring effort, but Jaylen Sims was nearly as impactful with 19 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. Marcus Garrett shot 7-of-9 from the field for 14 points, while PJ Hall matched that total and added nine rebounds. Evan Gilyard II chipped in 13 points, DJ Rodman and Caleb Grill each scored 11, and Josiah Allick rounded out the eight double-figure scorers with 10.

Delaware's Malcolm Hill led all scorers in the game with 28 points, and Teddy Allen provided a lift off the bench with 20. Aminu Mohammed finished with 17 points and nine rebounds, and Saint Thomas added 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Blue Coats.

The Swarm return to Novant Health Fieldhouse on Friday at 7 p.m. ET to host the Osceola Magic in a matchup billed as a clash of the conference's top two seeds. The game is also Jeansboro Night, presented by Wrangler. Wednesday's game was officiated by Rachael Rayford, Klajdi Mulla, and Cameron Garber.
