Guilford County Task Force Seizes 8 Kilograms of Cocaine, Arrests 43 Year Old Man
Guilford County task force seized 8 kilograms of cocaine and arrested Guadalupe Alberto Rodriguez, 43, on March 6 after a multi agency investigation.

A multi-agency narcotics task force seized approximately 8,000 grams of cocaine and arrested a 43-year-old Greensboro man after concluding an investigation March 6, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation announced in partnership with three other law enforcement agencies.
Guadalupe Alberto Rodriguez faces two counts of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, according to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office. Reports conflict on his bond: one account places it at a $100,000 secured bond, while another states he was held on $1 million bond. The discrepancy has not been officially resolved, and Guilford County detention records should be considered the authoritative source.
The seizure was carried out by the Guilford County Narcotic Task Force, a standing collaborative partnership among the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, the Greensboro Police Department, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Eight kilograms of cocaine represents a substantial single-operation haul; by comparison, two other recent task force operations in Greensboro recovered far smaller quantities.

Those earlier cases illustrate the pace of the task force's activity in recent months. On February 9, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at 607 Garret Street in Greensboro, seizing approximately 754 grams of cocaine, 580 grams of marijuana, and one firearm. George Christopher McKoy, Jr., 29, was arrested and held on a $202,050 secured bond; his next court date is scheduled for March 9, 2026. In a separate operation on November 6 at a residence on the 400 block of Fairmile Drive, the task force recovered roughly 138 grams of cocaine, more than 4,500 grams of marijuana, $328,380 in cash, and eight firearms, four of which were reported stolen. Jaquan Mondrian Hampton, 34, was charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule II controlled substances, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and possession of a stolen firearm. Hampton received a $250,000 secured bond and was later released from the Guilford County Detention Center.
The March 6 Rodriguez seizure dwarfs both of those operations in cocaine volume alone. No court date for Rodriguez has been publicly announced, and it remains unclear whether the 8,000-gram figure represents a preliminary field weight or a lab-confirmed measurement. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office and the NCSBI are the relevant contacts for official records on the case.
