A juvenile male was found dead from apparent stab wounds Monday evening at 3117 Oak Ridge Road in Summerfield, and the Guilford County Sheriff's Office is investigating his death as a homicide.

Sheriff Danny H. Rogers said deputies responded to the address at approximately 6:40 p.m. on March 24 after a call reporting a disorder. Upon arrival, deputies located the juvenile suffering from apparent stab wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene. His next of kin has been notified. No name or age has been released; the victim is identified only as a juvenile male.

"This is an isolated incident with no immediate threat to the community," Rogers said in a news release.

Detectives with the sheriff's office are actively working the case. Rogers cautioned that the investigation's sensitivity would limit what authorities disclose publicly: "Due to the nature of the investigation, limited information will be released at this time."
