20-Year-Old Fatally Shot While in Vehicle, Crashes at 5103 Bell Street

A 20-year-old man was found fatally shot in the driver’s seat of a vehicle after his car crashed at 5103 Bell Street, following an apparent shooting while he sat in a vehicle on the 5100 block of Clay Street, police say. The sequence of events unfolded at about 8 p.m. Sunday, when officers responding to a shooting call located the crash scene on Bell Street and discovered the injured man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man from the Bell Street crash scene to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to responding units and investigative summaries. Witnesses at the Clay Street location told investigators the man was shot by an unknown suspect while sitting in his vehicle and then attempted to flee by driving away, crashing shortly afterward at 5103 Bell Street.
