Authorities Seek Public's Help Locating Missing Autistic 20-Year-Old Zeida Barrera
20-year-old Zeida Barrera, autistic and non-verbal, was last seen walking from the 3100 block of Cliff Swallow Court in Timberlane wearing a blue knee-to-ankle leg brace.
Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office are searching for 20-year-old Zeida Barrera after she was last seen walking from the 3100 block of Cliff Swallow Court in the Timberlane subdivision of Spring around 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. Precinct 4 identified Barrera as autistic and non-verbal and said she requires medication.
Barrera was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray shirt, sunglasses and white tennis shoes, and she had a blue knee-to-ankle leg brace on her right leg. Social posts and the local missing-person alert indicate she left her home in the 3100 block of Cliff Swallow Court before she disappeared.
Authorities say Barrera was traveling on foot when she went missing. "The Texas Center for the Missing said she was traveling on foot at the time." The Constable’s Office has deployed deputies and K9 units to search the Timberlane area; one search dog has been identified on scene as K9 Hades.
Law enforcement and the Texas Center for the Missing have emphasized Barrera’s vulnerabilities. "Zeida is autistic and nonverbal. She is in need of medication." Neighbors on Cliff Swallow Court and adjacent streets in northern Harris County are being asked to check security cameras, doorbell footage and local yards for signs of her, and deputies are conducting door-to-door inquiries in the Timberlane subdivision.
