Emily Seeman Charged in Fatal Hufsmith Kohrville Road Shooting
A 23-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a 25-year-old man was found unresponsive from gunshot wounds in the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville Road; bond set at $150,000.

Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville Road near Boudreaux Road in the Tomball area after a male was found unresponsive from apparent gunshot wounds, officials said. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Malcolm Wayne Lee, was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, and investigators charged 23-year-old Emily Rose Seeman with murder, court documents show.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted the department’s initial statement on social media: “Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville (Tomball). A female allegedly shot a male. The male was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The female has been detained.” Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office were involved in the initial response, and HCSO Crime Scene Investigation and Homicide detectives were assigned to the follow-up investigation, according to agency reports.
Investigators say Seeman fled the scene through a wooded area before deputies arrived and was located quickly after a perimeter was established with partner agencies. Local reports and arrest paperwork indicate Seeman was booked into the Harris County Jail and that bond was set at $150,000, with a mugshot credited to HCSO in media displays.
“It was learned that Emily and Malcolm had been in a dating relationship prior to the shooting. Detectives also learned that Lee and his new girlfriend arrived at the location to visit a friend and Emily was already there. An argument ensued between the two which ultimately led to the shooting,” a law-enforcement summary posted by investigators states. Multiple outlets reported that detectives attribute the shooting to that altercation; no additional motive or weapon details have been released.

Local coverage places the incident in the overnight to early-Thursday timeframe; Fox26 published a report on Feb. 15, 2026, and HCSO’s Facebook post provided the department’s immediate factual account. Grizzyshoodnews listed Seeman’s date of birth as April 25, 2002, consistent with the 23-year-old age listed in court records.
Authorities have not released specifics on the weapon, the hospital where Lee was taken, the number of shots fired, or the next court date for Seeman. HCSO homicide detectives continue to investigate; neighbors and anyone with dashcam, doorbell, or other footage from the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville Road near Boudreaux Road on the night of the shooting are asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
