Harris County Suspect Posed as Police, Scammed Victim Out of $7,000
A Maryland woman is wanted by Harris County Precinct 4 after allegedly posing as police to steal $7,000 from a Stagecoach Breeze Lane resident, then blaming her boyfriend when caught.

A woman from Edgewater, Maryland, is wanted on a felony theft charge after allegedly impersonating a law enforcement officer to defraud a Harris County resident of more than $7,000, Constable Mark Herman's Office announced.
A deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted an investigation on Stagecoach Breeze Lane regarding a scam in which a suspect falsely claimed to be law enforcement and defrauded a victim of more than $7,000 by telling them they had active warrants for their arrest. The incident occurred on Feb. 26, 2026, at the 19300 block of Stagecoach Breeze Lane in north Harris County, within Precinct 4's jurisdiction.
During the investigation, the deputy traced the funds and identified the suspect as Valencia Sirra Valenzuela, of Edgewater, Maryland, as the individual who received the money. The case is logged under number HC2602-03677.
The investigation moved quickly to an interview with Valenzuela, where her account fell apart. During that interview, she provided inconsistent statements that did not align with the victim's bank records and other evidence, and she showed no intention of returning the money to the victim and attempted to blame her boyfriend for the theft.
Valenzuela is currently wanted by law enforcement for felony theft. No arrest has been confirmed by the constable's office, and the investigation remains active.
The "police impersonator" con is a well-documented fraud scheme in which callers identify themselves as law enforcement and pressure targets into paying cash or transferring funds to avoid a fabricated arrest. The false warrant claim adds urgency designed to prevent victims from verifying the threat.
Constable Herman's office is asking the public for help locating Valenzuela. Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to contact Harris County Precinct 4 at (281) 376-3472 or their local law enforcement. The constable's office also provides updates through Facebook at Facebook.com/Precinct4, Instagram at @ConstablePct4, and through the "C4 NOW" mobile app, which delivers live notifications on crimes, arrests, safety tips, and traffic incidents across the precinct.
