Harris County investigators and Houston police released surveillance footage Jan. 30 as part of an ongoing inquiry into a deadly shooting that occurred the evening of April 23, 2025, at a home in southeast Houston. The shooting at 10219 Rolleston Lane, near the intersection of Fuqua and Galveston Road in the South Belt/Ellington area, left 26-year-old Daylan Walker dead and a second 26-year-old man hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.

Houston police officers responding to the scene shortly after 8:15 p.m. found an unresponsive male inside a garage. The man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene, according to a City of Houston release. Officers also located a second adult male who had sustained at least one gunshot wound; that man was transported to an area hospital and treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

HPD identified the deceased victim as Daylan Walker. The surviving 26-year-old has not been publicly identified. Authorities have not announced arrests or charges tied to the case, and the investigation remains active.

Releasing surveillance footage nine months after the shooting is a notable step in the investigation. The video release aims to illuminate events that unfolded at the Rolleston Lane residence and to generate community leads.
