Bobby John Henry squeezed through a tiny doggy door to burglarize a Montrose home while the residents were at work. On Friday evening, Houston police put him in handcuffs.

HPD announced the arrest of Henry, 56, dubbed by authorities as the central Houston "Spiderman" burglar, on Saturday morning. "The central Houston 'Spiderman' burglar has been arrested," the department posted on social media. He now faces multiple felony counts of burglary in Harris County and is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Court records link Henry to at least six burglaries in the past year across the Montrose neighborhood. Investigators said he targeted homes during the day while residents were away at work, making off with jewelry, electronics and family heirlooms, which he then tried to sell at area pawn shops.

The doggy door was not his only point of entry. Surveillance video shown at a March 6 press conference by Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen showed Henry crawling through a window during a separate break-in. Investigators said he looked for unlocked windows during daytime hours; when he found none, he forced them open or smashed the glass.

Rosen identified Henry as a suspect at that press conference and noted his criminal history stretches back to 1990. Investigators said Henry also carries outstanding warrants from Travis and Milam counties and was already wanted for parole violations in other Texas counties when Houston police took him into custody Friday night.

Authorities said they are continuing to review additional cases that may tie Henry to further HPD reports beyond the six already documented. He is scheduled for a preliminary court appearance Monday morning.
