Deputies responding to a "life in danger" call at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday found three people shot inside a home on the 2000 block of Bertrand in north Harris County, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said. Two of the victims, both men, were listed in stable condition; a third victim, a woman, was critically injured. All three were transported to a hospital, though HCSO had not released the name of the receiving facility as of initial reports.

The shooting appears to have started with a confrontation outside the residence. HCSO Lt. Wheeler described the preliminary picture to reporters: "Preliminary investigation we have right now is that there was some kind of disturbance at the uh entrance of one of the residences and that's all we have is they were, they were arguing, and then shots rang out."

Investigators had not released the identities of any of the three victims as of Wednesday morning, and no suspects had been identified or arrested. HCSO said additional details on what led to the argument, or how the three people knew one another, were not immediately available.
