Woman Critically Injured in North Harris County Hit-and-Run, Family Seeks Tips
Lolita Moore, 39, remains in the ICU nine days after a black Honda CR-V struck her on FM 1960 and fled — her skull and spine disconnected by the impact.

Lolita Moore had just left a grocery store and was making her way across FM 1960 near Cypress Station Drive on the night of March 12 when a sequence of events left her fighting for her life. She first suffered a foot injury while crossing the busy north Harris County thoroughfare, and as she tried to move out of the street, a vehicle believed to be a black Honda CR-V struck her and drove away.
Nine days later, Moore, 39, remains in the ICU in critical condition. Her sister, Jasmine Bates, told FOX 26 that while Moore's condition is not worsening, she has not stabilized enough to leave intensive care. Fox26 reported that Moore's injuries include what the family described as being "internally decapitated," meaning her skull and spine are disconnected while the skin and muscles in that area remain attached.
No arrests have been made. Investigators have no confirmed description of the driver and no identifying details beyond the suspected vehicle make and color.
"For someone to hit a full human being and drive off… that person has a family too," a family member said, according to KHOU.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation and, along with Crime Stoppers, is asking anyone with information about the black Honda CR-V or its driver to come forward. No specific vehicle year, license plate, or damage description has been released publicly.
Moore's family has set up a GoFundMe to cover her medical and recovery costs. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
