Hidalgo County Seeks Deputies, EMS Staff, Detention Officers and Dispatchers

Hidalgo County is actively recruiting for several public safety positions, with the Sheriff's Office seeking one full-time certified deputy and Hidalgo County Emergency Medical Services accepting applications from EMT-Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic candidates.

The Sheriff's Office posting specifies a single full-time slot for a certified deputy. The EMS opening, listed under the Hidalgo County Manager's Office, is open to applicants holding any of three certification levels: EMT-Basic, Intermediate or Paramedic. Both postings carry the same benefit: Hidalgo County pays 85% of health, dental and vision insurance premiums.
