Viola Startzman Clinic Establishes New Fund for Holmes County Health Care
The Viola Startzman Clinic launched a new fund through Holmes County's community foundation, offering free care to uninsured patients every Wednesday in Millersburg.

The Holmes County Education & Community Foundation announced the Viola Startzman Holmes County Fund for Primary and Mental Healthcare, a new agency fund designed to provide lasting support for the clinic's work in Millersburg and make primary and mental health care accessible and affordable throughout Holmes County.
The clinic is currently piloting services on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering both primary care and mental health services at the Millersburg site. Patients without insurance are seen free of charge during the pilot, with the stated goal of expanding services based on community need.
"By establishing a fund with the Holmes County Community Foundation, we are creating an opportunity for residents and businesses in Holmes County to directly support health care access for their neighbors," the clinic said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "Every dollar donated to this fund will help ensure that individuals and families in Holmes County can continue to receive high-quality care close to home."
The Viola Startzman Clinic has served the Wayne and Holmes County community for more than 30 years as a community-based health center offering integrated primary, dental, and mental health services under one roof. The clinic operates on a sliding fee scale and accepts all insurance plans, and its mental health services include individual evaluations available both in person and via telehealth.
The new fund gives Holmes County businesses and residents a direct mechanism to invest in that local care network. Donations to the Viola Startzman Holmes County Fund for Primary and Mental Healthcare can be made through the Holmes County Education & Community Foundation.
