West Holmes Baseball Knights Top Clear Fork 8-4 in Early-Season Home Win

West Holmes High School, 10909 OH-39 in Millersburg, hosted its first varsity baseball win of the season Saturday when the Knights defeated Clear Fork 8-4 in a nonconference matchup on March 28.

The Colts made the trip from Bellville for their first road game of the season and returned home without a win. West Holmes controlled the margin throughout, finishing four runs ahead in a result that signals something useful for a program entering conference play: the Knights can close out a nonconference opponent at home with a lead to spare.

In north-central Ohio's small-school baseball landscape, that kind of early nonconference win carries weight beyond the final score.
