West Holmes Fine Arts Festival Set for April 17 at High School
Rows of student artwork will fill West Holmes High School's halls April 17 as the annual K-12 Fine Arts Festival brings music, theater and food trucks from 5 to 7 p.m.

The annual West Holmes K-12 Fine Arts Festival will transform West Holmes High School into a full-building arts showcase next Friday, April 17, when students from across the district's seven schools put their work on display from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the school's campus on OH-39 in Millersburg.
The event spreads across the building by discipline. Hallways will be lined with rows of student visual art, while Excalibur Theater hosts theatre showcases and the gymnasium fills with live musical performances. Bands, choirs and soloists from elementary, middle and high school levels are expected to perform throughout the two-hour program, giving Holmes County families a rare chance to see the district's K-12 arts curriculum across all three disciplines in a single evening.
West Holmes Local Schools enrolls approximately 1,776 students across those seven schools, and the festival draws participants from the full K-12 span. For younger students, sharing the building with high school performers provides something the classroom cannot: visible proof of where a few more years of instruction can lead.
Backing the music side of the evening is the West Holmes Music Boosters, which supports all choirs, bands, general and elementary music classes, and the theatre program across the district. Food trucks have been part of the festival in past years, giving families a way to make an evening of it before moving between performances and exhibit halls.
The April 17 date falls about three weeks before a separate all-high-school bands and choirs performance scheduled for May 2, giving the festival a dual role as both community showcase and final public run before the year's closing concerts.
Holmes County's broader arts ecosystem offers students a path beyond the high school stage. The Holmes Center for the Arts provides classes and performances in dance, music, theater and visual art for Holmes County residents of all ages, and Holmes Community College's Concert Chorale draws performers from across the region.
Families looking for specific grade-level performance times or logistical details ahead of the event should consult the West Holmes Local Schools district calendar and the West Holmes Music Boosters' events schedule.
