A gray or silver Ford pickup truck pulled up near Sangha Tattoo Studio on the 500 block of F Street sometime around 1:00 a.m. on March 31, and by the time Eureka police officers arrived seven hours later, multiple windows had been smashed and the suspect was long gone.

The Eureka Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit is asking anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the Old Town and downtown area that morning to call 707-441-4300.

Surveillance cameras at nearby businesses captured a male subject wearing a facial covering breaking the windows. The same footage shows the gray or silver Ford pickup arriving near the business before the incident and departing shortly afterward, a vehicle detail EPD highlighted as a potential key to the case in its April 1 media release.

Officers responded to a report at approximately 8:00 a.m., searched Sangha Tattoo's building and found no suspects inside. Investigators believe the suspect may have gained entry to the studio, though EPD has not publicly confirmed whether anything was taken. The seven-hour gap between the break-in and its discovery complicates any accounting of missing property.

The immediate costs for Sangha Tattoo Studio, a locally owned business at the center of Eureka's commercial district, extend well beyond broken glass. Emergency boarding, a full security audit, canceled appointments and insurance claims are all in play, even before investigators can determine whether anything was stolen from inside.

EPD has not detailed any specific patrol changes or additional security measures for the F Street corridor in the wake of the incident. The Criminal Investigations Unit's public appeal is focused squarely on the gray or silver Ford pickup: detectives want any footage showing that vehicle in the Old Town or downtown area around 1:00 a.m. on March 31.

Tips can be submitted to the Criminal Investigations Unit at 707-441-4300.
