Aspirus Iron River Hospital CT Remodel to Alter Parking, Traffic Flow

Anyone heading to Aspirus Iron River Hospital on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday through late May will find the main entrance on West Ice Lake Road closed to visitor traffic, the result of a CT imaging suite remodel that got underway March 17 and runs through May 25, 2026.

The project has adjusted parking and vehicle circulation across the hospital campus each week on those three days. Visitors are directed to enter and exit via South Ice Lake Road instead, following posted signage to reach patient parking near the clinic entrances.

The West Ice Lake Road closure applies only to visitor traffic during the affected days, not to the full week. Whether construction crews are working exclusively on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays or whether those are simply the days when the traffic and parking restrictions are in force has not been specified in Aspirus's public notice.

What remains unconfirmed is whether CT imaging services are available, reduced, or relocated during construction. Patients with scheduled CT appointments should contact Aspirus Iron River directly before arriving to confirm whether their exam will proceed as planned and where to park upon arrival.

Aspirus acknowledged the disruption in its public notice. "Aspirus Iron River apologies for any inconvenience caused by these temporary changes and appreciates the community's patience and understanding as we complete these improvements to better serve our community," the hospital stated.

The remodel is expected to wrap up May 25, at which point normal parking and traffic flow on the hospital campus are anticipated to resume. Until then, South Ice Lake Road serves as the designated route in and out for anyone visiting the facility on the three affected days each week.
