Crystal Theatre Unveils 2026 Gem of a Season, Lorrie Morgan to Headline July

Country music icon Lorrie Morgan will take the stage at Crystal Theatre in Crystal Falls on Friday, July 10, serving as the venue's 2026 Legend Series headliner and the marquee name in an eight-event Gem of a Season lineup.

Morgan, nicknamed "The Duchess of Country Music" and widely recognized as a defining voice of the 1990s country music era, made history as the first woman in her generation to produce three consecutive platinum albums. Her hits "Five Minutes," "Something in Red" and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" remain staples of country radio and live performances today, and she continues to tour extensively across the United States and internationally.

Managing Director Kristen Underhill is already bracing for high demand. Underhill encourages patrons to purchase tickets early, as she expects the concert to sell out.

The Gem of a Season series is already underway. The Knockabouts, a Marquette-based trio, returned to Crystal Theatre on Saturday to kick off the 2026 run, bringing traditional and original Celtic tunes as a prelude to St. Patrick's Day. Underhill embraced the spirit of the occasion fully, noting she planned to wear a kilt. "It's a wonderful way to welcome spring and open the season," she said. "It's going to be so much fun."

The series continues in May, when two pianists will present diverse repertoires on the theatre's grand piano, before building toward the July headline event. The full eight-event calendar spans a range of styles and performers, with Morgan's Legend concert representing the season's centerpiece.
