Iron River High School Class of 1965 Reunion Set for April 2026

Sixty-one years after walking out of Iron River High School, the Class of 1965 is gathering again, and organizers need the community's help to make sure every classmate hears about it. The reunion is set for Tuesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at the Iron River Senior Center, 814 N. 4th Avenue, directly across from Dina Mia Kitchens. The Class of 1965 holds a specific place in Iron River school history. They were among the last students to graduate under the Iron River High School name before the Iron River, Stambaugh, and Bates Township school districts consolidated in 1967 to form West Iron County Public Schools. The school they attended no longer carries that name, and the classmates they once knew are now approximately 78 to 80 years old, many of them scattered well beyond Iron County.
