Iron River window cleaning business expands with seasonal services

Joshua Rauterkus filed U.P. Window Wizards LLC in Michigan on Feb. 10, 2025, setting up the business at 33 N. 7th Ave. in Iron River with himself listed as registered agent. The active domestic LLC now handles interior and exterior residential and commercial window cleaning, screen cleaning, hard-water stain and mineral-deposit restoration, storm window cleaning and seasonal maintenance, and Rauterkus plans to add professional Christmas light installation later this year.

Rather than chasing a broad regional contract base, the company has staked its growth on a homegrown route that starts in Iron River and reaches surrounding communities in the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin.

Public listings say the service area stretches about 100 miles and that jobs begin at $99, with interiors, exteriors, sills and screens included. That pricing puts the work in reach for homeowners, storefronts and seasonal properties that need clear glass and quick turnaround during the busiest months of summer, when curb appeal is most visible and a finished job can change the look of a building in a single visit.
