All Kauai Public High School Graduations Set for May 22, 2026
All four Kauai public high schools will hold graduation on May 22, 2026, the earliest date allowed under the state school calendar.
Kauai's four public high schools will all hold graduation ceremonies on the same Friday this spring, with the Hawaii State Department of Education confirming May 22, 2026 as the shared commencement date for Kauai High School, Kapaa High School, Waimea High School, and Niihau High & Elementary School.
The coordinated scheduling gives families across the island a single date to anchor their plans. May 22 also marks the earliest date the DOE permits commencement exercises for the Class of 2026, falling on the first weekend preceding the last day of school for students.
Venue times and locations for each ceremony will be communicated directly by individual schools to parents and guardians. Past ceremonies have placed Kauai High's commencement at Antone "Kona" Vidinha, Jr. Memorial Stadium in Lihue and Waimea High's at Hanapēpē Stadium, though families should watch for official word from their school as those details are finalized.
Niihau High & Elementary, which serves the privately held island of Niihau off Kauai's southwest coast, will hold its ceremony on the island itself, as it has in prior years, contingent on having a graduating senior class.
The announcement follows a statewide release of graduation schedules by the DOE covering public high schools across all islands.
