Coeur d'Alene Police Report 19 Arrests Over Four-Week Period

The Coeur d'Alene Police Department logged 19 arrests during the four-week period ending March 18, according to a crime and traffic summary the department published March 19.

The department releases weekly and monthly crime reports that track police activity including calls for service, crime reports, citations, drug activity, and other police operations. The March 19 summary represents the department's most recent publicly available accounting of enforcement activity across the city.

Coeur d'Alene, home to more than 57,000 residents, is served by 121 sworn officers and civilian staff who carry responsibility for crime prevention, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and community policing.

When someone is arrested by the department, they are taken to the Kootenai County Jail, where they are booked and held until they can post bail or are released on their own recognizance.

The department's crime and traffic summaries are part of a regular transparency effort. Public disclosure of crime and arrest reports includes the time, date, location, nature and description of a reported crime or incident, as well as the name, sex, age, and address of a person arrested, along with the date, time, and location of the arrest and the crime charged.
