Elks Lodge 1254 Hosts Dinner, Silent Auction to Honor Kootenai County Law Enforcement
Elks Lodge 1254 honored Kootenai County police, deputies and troopers at a $35 public dinner Saturday, backed by $25,000+ in donated officer equipment.

Coeur d'Alene's Elks Lodge 1254 brought together community members and law enforcement Saturday night at 1170 W Prairie Ave to honor police, deputies and troopers serving across Kootenai County, capping the evening with Officer of the Year awards drawn from each city, county and state department in the region.
The dinner, silent auction and fundraiser began at 6 p.m. at the Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge. An Officer of the Year from each city, county and state department was recognized, with a press release describing the honors as "celebrating their commitment to protecting the community."
The event reflected years of sustained investment by the lodge in local law enforcement. The Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge has donated more than $25,000 to purchase first-aid kits for officers, K9 dogs and kennels, and ballistic helmets, making Saturday's dinner part of a broader pattern of tangible support rather than symbolic recognition alone.

Tickets were $35 and the dinner was open to the public. For more information on the event or future lodge activities, contact Dennis Dodd at 208-952-6725.
