Pedestrian Killed by Semi-Truck on I-90 Near Mullan Early Thursday
A pedestrian died on eastbound I-90 near Mullan at 1:52 a.m. Thursday when a red semi-truck struck them in the roadway; ISP is seeking witnesses with dash-cam footage.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a red semi-truck on eastbound Interstate 90 near milepost 64, just outside Mullan, at 1:52 a.m. Thursday in a crash that forced a multi-hour highway closure and prompted Idaho State Police to appeal to the public for dash-cam footage.
The commercial vehicle's driver, a 30-year-old man from Mountlake Terrace, Washington, was identified by ISP in an initial press release. The pedestrian's identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Eastbound I-90 remained closed for roughly three to four hours as troopers and crash investigators processed the roadway, rerouting freight and early-morning traffic along a corridor that funnels commercial and passenger vehicles between Coeur d'Alene and the Montana state line.
The investigation remains active, and ISP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam or other video footage from the area to contact Corporal Daniel Taylor at 208-209-8620. Investigators will examine factors including roadway lighting, weather, vehicle condition, driver impairment or distraction, and the circumstances of the pedestrian's presence in the travel lanes.
The pedestrian's identity, along with any charges or citations resulting from the investigation, will be released once ISP and the coroner complete their respective reviews.
