Post Falls Man Arrested After Threatening Police, Smashing Windows on Facebook Live
Ryan McClintock, 33, of Post Falls, urged "gangsters" to storm two local police departments on Facebook Live before allegedly smashing windows at the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

Ryan McClintock, 33, of Post Falls, is facing two felony charges after allegedly livestreaming calls for armed action against area police departments on Facebook, then smashing windows at the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office on Government Way in Coeur d'Alene Saturday evening.
According to a Coeur d'Alene Police Department release, the videos showed McClintock urging "gangsters and people who were not afraid to die" to "go and take the Coeur d'Alene Police Department and the Post Falls Police Department." A second video announced he was already en route to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department and warned that "all the good officers needed to leave."
The posts generated immediate tips to law enforcement and set off a multi-agency response. Dispatchers received reports placing McClintock at or near the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office on Government Way, where witnesses reported windows being smashed. Officers located him walking south on Government Way and took him into custody without incident on the evening of April 4.
McClintock was booked on felony counts of malicious injury to property and terroristic threats, both of which carry significant penalties if he is convicted. The case will move through Kootenai County courts, where prosecutors will determine whether to file formal charges and how to pursue the matter.
The Coeur d'Alene Police Department thanked "all of the members of the community who provided tips and all of our law enforcement partners who came together to safely resolve a tense situation."
Investigators are expected to continue reviewing the Facebook videos and related digital evidence as the case develops.
