Former Oxford Resident Roland Mann Releases YA Superhero Comedy Novel
Roland Mann, a former Oxford resident, independently published THE INTERNS, a sophomore YA superhero comedy available in paperback, hardback, and eBook.

Roland Mann has a new book out, and Oxford is part of his story even if he no longer calls the city home.
Mann, a former Oxford resident, released his sophomore novel, THE INTERNS, an independently published young-adult superhero comedy now available in paperback, hardback, and eBook formats. The Oxford Eagle covered the release in a news item published March 4, 2026.
The title marks Mann's second novel, stepping into the crowded but enthusiastic YA superhero genre with what is billed as a comedic take on the form. Independent publication has become an increasingly viable path for authors working outside traditional publishing houses, allowing writers to retain creative control and bring books directly to readers across multiple formats simultaneously, as Mann has done here with all three editions releasing together.

Lafayette County has seen a modest stretch of cultural news this spring. Theatre Oxford recently claimed a state title and is planning a fundraiser show. The 23rd annual Oxford Film Festival drew visitors to town. The University of Mississippi Museum opened a new exhibition with a public reception on March 5. Mann's book release, reported the same week, adds a literary note to that run of local cultural activity, even from a distance.
Details about where THE INTERNS is available for purchase, its plot, and any planned local author appearances had not been confirmed as of the Oxford Eagle's news release. Readers interested in the book can search for Mann's title across major online booksellers in all three formats.
