Landmark Properties Plans 817-Bed Student Housing Community Near Ole Miss
Landmark Properties acquired a 27-acre site off South Lamar Boulevard to build 817 student beds near Ole Miss, the first new student housing since 2018.

Landmark Properties has acquired a 27-acre development site on Oxford Way off South Lamar Boulevard, just south of the University of Mississippi campus, where it plans to build The Station at Oxford, an 817-bed cottage-style student housing community.
The Athens, Georgia-based developer announced the acquisition March 3, describing the project as "one of the only new student housing properties under construction since 2018" in the Ole Miss market. The Station at Oxford will contain 269 units in a mix of two- to four-bedroom cottages and townhomes, delivering 817 off-campus beds alongside parking capacity for up to 904 vehicles.
"The Station at Oxford will be a best-in-class cottage-style option for the Ole Miss community, one of the only new student housing properties under construction since 2018," said Jason Doornbos, Chief Development Officer at Landmark Properties. "The development's unique product offering, proximity to campus, and modern design and amenities meets the evolving lifestyle preferences of today's students and is sure to capture a meaningful share of the off-campus housing demand."
Each unit will be delivered fully furnished and wired for high-speed internet and cable. Interior finishes include stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, en-suite bathrooms, large closets, in-unit laundry, and hardwood-style laminate flooring. Community amenities will include a clubhouse with a resort-style pool featuring cabanas and hammocks, a fitness center, sports simulator, Jumbotron, pickleball court, firepits, grilling areas, cornhole, a study lounge, and bike storage.

Landmark is developing The Station at Oxford in partnership with Liberty Mutual Investments, the investment arm of Liberty Mutual Group. The project marks the third development between the two firms, following previously announced purpose-built student housing projects at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Connecticut.
Secondary reporting from real estate industry outlets indicates the development is targeted for completion by the 2027-2028 academic year, though Landmark's announcement did not specify a groundbreaking date or confirmed delivery timeline. Purchase price for the 27-acre site was not disclosed.
If the 2027-2028 target holds, Oxford students could have access to a significant new block of off-campus housing inventory within two academic years, reshaping the supply picture along the South Lamar corridor.
