Ole Miss Adds Four-Star WR Alvin Mosley to June Official-Visit List
Oxford will host 2027 four-star receiver Alvin Mosley June 5-7, the lone uncommitted member of a three-WR recruiting weekend that includes Benny Easter Jr. and Aden Starling.

Oxford and Lafayette County will be the focal point of a major recruiting weekend when Fort Bend Crawford product Alvin Mosley visits Ole Miss June 5-7 for an official visit, the wide receiver announced on social media and recruiting outlets reported. Mosley is the only uncommitted prospect among the three high-profile receivers scheduled that weekend, with Benny Easter Jr. committed to Texas Tech and Aden Starling pledged to Georgia, a configuration HottyToddy said “gives Ole Miss a meaningful chance to make an impression.”
Mosley is a 2027 four-star wideout out of Rosharon, Texas, listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds. 247Sports ranks him as the nation’s No. 18 wide receiver and Texas’ No. 17 overall prospect, reporting that the “6-foot-2, 185-pounder is ranked as the nation's No. 18 wide receiver and Lone Star State's No. 17 overall prospect” and saying his offer list is “nearing 30” programs coast-to-coast. 247Sports also states Mosley “has three official visits.”
On-field production during his junior season underpins the interest: SI and HottyToddy both note Mosley’s 2025 stat line of 21 catches for 190 yards with seven receiving touchdowns. HottyToddy summarized the efficiency as follows: “Mosley’s junior numbers weren’t huge on paper (21 catches, 190 yards), but the efficiency jumps out: seven touchdowns on 21 receptions, and plenty of explosive flashes that have coaches betting on his upside.”
Ole Miss intensified its recruitment after a face-to-face interaction between Mosley and receivers coach L’Damian Washington. SI reported that “The Ole Miss Rebels added to his growing list of scholarships after wide receivers coach L'Damian Washington made his way to Texas last month for an in-person meeting with Mosley.” Washington’s trip, and the offer that followed, is repeatedly credited by local and national outlets with elevating Ole Miss into Mosley’s conversation.
Mosley made the visit commitment public via X, tweeting: “Its Official, I'll be in the Mississippi June 5-7 For my OV! @OleMissFB @DrWashington_ @CoachJackACHS @CoachTCRandle @JScruggs247 @MikeRoach247 @samspiegs @SWiltfong_ @CraigHaubert @TomLuginbill.” HottyToddy reproduced that tweet and dated it Feb. 10, 2026; an Instagram recruitment update likewise stated, “UPDATE: Alvin Mosley, four-star WR, will take an official visit to Ole Miss, June 5th-7th. The 2027 prospect is from Fort Bend Crawford High.”
Media accounts and Ole Miss sources frame the visit as a targeted push by the staff. SI wrote that “Mosley checks in as a Top-20 wideout in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle with Golding and the Ole Miss coaching staff battling multiple heavy-hitters involved in his process as he enters a critical offseason stretch,” and added that “Mosley will be in the Magnolia State from June 5-7 for an official visit as the Ole Miss coaching staff look to roll out the red carpet for a priority wideout.” Pete Golding’s name appears across coverage as part of the staff involvement behind the push.
Reporting shows a minor discrepancy in the recruit’s last name spelling among outlets: HottyToddy sometimes uses “Mosely,” while SI, 247Sports and the social posts use “Mosley.” Local fans and recruiters will be watching Oxford June 5-7 as Mosley meets the staff that traveled to Texas to recruit him and weighs offers from programs named in coverage including Texas, LSU, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Houston, along with the near-30 offer list cited by 247Sports. The June visit could be decisive in a recruitment that national outlets call one to watch.
