Oxford Chamber schedules ribbon cutting for Sugar Boutique in June

The Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for Sugar Boutique at 20 CR-4059 in Oxford, adding a new women’s clothing store to the local shopping map. The event ran from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. CDT and marked another storefront the chamber is using to spotlight business growth in Oxford and Lafayette County.

Sugar Boutique is listed in the chamber’s business directory as a women’s clothing boutique that offers stylish apparel, unique accessories and home decor. The directory gives the shop’s phone number as (662) 636-3755 and places it at 20 County Road 4059, Oxford, MS 38655, the same location used on the chamber’s event calendar.

The store’s formal footprint in Mississippi dates to Jan. 2, 2025, when Sugar Boutique LLC was established in the state company registry. The registry now lists the business in good standing, showing the boutique had already moved from a new filing into an active local retail presence before the chamber ceremony.

The opening comes as the chamber says it now represents more than 800 member businesses and professionals across industries. Pam Swain, the chamber’s president and CEO, has said the organization remains focused on supporting businesses and improving quality of life in the community, a mission that fits closely with the way the chamber has been rolling out recognitions, ribbon cuttings and annual honors across town.
