Oxford man earns law degree from the University of Georgia
Oxford’s Eric Anton Narbo earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia, joining a spring class of more than 9,400 new alumni.

Eric Anton Narbo of Oxford has earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia, putting a Lafayette County name on a spring graduation list that topped more than 9,400 new alumni. The university said its Spring 2026 commencement ceremonies were held May 7 and May 8 in Athens.
For Lafayette County readers, the milestone is more than a line on a diploma. A law degree can lead into private practice, public service, policy work or advocacy, and Narbo’s achievement gives Oxford a local face in that pipeline. The University of Georgia School of Law’s Class of 2026 ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at The Classic Center in downtown Athens.
Narbo’s degree also caps a law-school record that already included competitive success. In November, the University of Georgia School of Law said Narbo, Maya E.M. Davis and Kaylah J. Holmes won the national championship at the All-Star Bracket Challenge in San Antonio, Texas, and Narbo was selected as Best Advocate. The school later said Narbo and his teammates added another advocacy title in March 2026, underscoring that his graduation follows a run of recognized courtroom-style performance.
Narbo also appeared on the University of Georgia School of Law’s Community Health Law Partnership Clinic roster for 2024-2025, tying his academic work to a clinic setting that connects legal training with community-facing service. Put together, the records show an Oxford graduate leaving Athens with both a professional degree and a track record that reached beyond the classroom.
