Three Lafayette Commodores Sign with Hinds, Northeast CC and South Alabama

Lafayette High School held a signing day ceremony honoring three Lafayette Commodores who will continue both their education and football careers, with Tristen Bryant signing with Hinds Community College, Adarius Brown signing with Northeast Community College and Tyler Wiley headed to the University of South Alabama, Oxford Eagle reported.

The Oxford Eagle caption accompanying a photo from the ceremony summed the roster of signees: “Three Lafayette Commodores football players will be continuing their education and football careers beyond Lafayette High School. From left are Tristen Bryant, signing with Hinds Community College; Adarius Brown, signing with Northeast Community College and Tyler Wiley headed to the University of South Alabama. (LCSD)”

An early, truncated notice from Lafayette High omitted Tyler Wiley’s destination; Oxford Eagle’s coverage identifies Wiley as headed to the University of South Alabama, reconciling the partial school release. The three names are presented as Lafayette Commodores and were shown together in the captioned photograph credited only to “(LCSD).”

The school caption and regional compilations did not provide player positions, heights, weights, season statistics, or direct quotes from Bryant, Brown or Wiley. Neither Lafayette High’s caption nor the regional signings lists in The Advertiser and Sports Yahoo included scholarship details or expected roles for the three signees.

The broader Acadiana signing-day landscape shows substantial movement across programs. The Advertiser reported Carencro standout Chantz Babineaux signing with Nicholls State after a regular season that “netted 1,156 yards and 14 touchdowns” and included seven interceptions with two pick-sixes; Brayden Allen of Lafayette Christian Academy committed to LSU after catching 715 yards and 11 touchdowns this season; and Darryus McKinley of Acadiana signed with Ohio State after a campaign that included 72 tackles and nearly 10 sacks, The Advertiser noted.
