Cash Reward Offered for Tips on Jan. 30 Eugene Federal Building Attack
The FBI has posted video and images and is offering a $5,000 reward for tips identifying three persons of interest in the Jan. 30 breach and vandalism of the federal building in Eugene.

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons who breached the Federal Building in Eugene on Jan. 30, 2026, and has released inside video and images naming three persons of interest, the agency's Portland field office said.
Eugene Police Department declared the gathering a riot around 6 p.m. after an anti-ICE demonstration of roughly 400 to 500 people that night saw protesters enter the federal building, according to local and federal reporting. The FBI described the incident this way: “The protest turned into a riot in which the individuals broke windows, spray-painted federal property, and threw rocks at law enforcement officers.”
Local reporting and FBI materials describe a breach of the federal building and acts characterized as vandalism and/or destruction of government property. Multiple outlets that republished FBI images identified broken windows and spray paint on federal property and said rocks were thrown at law enforcement during the Jan. 30 incident; no monetary estimate of damage has been released.
The FBI has sought tips aimed at identifying three unknown suspects seen in agency images. The FBI-released descriptions published by local outlets list unknown suspect #1 as White, dark hair, wearing dark clothing, dark shoes with white soles, tape on the arms, and goggles. Unknown suspect #2 is described as a White male with dark hair, all dark clothing, a black mask, dark shoes with white soles, and goggles. Unknown suspect #3 is described as a White male with brown hair, all dark clothing, a black mask, and white shoes. News photos distributed by the FBI were captioned in coverage as “Images via FBI.”

As of the FBI release and local reporting, no arrests, charges, or suspect names have been announced; the reward is tied to information that leads to arrest and conviction. The FBI Portland field office posted video and images to aid identification and updated its list of persons of interest, prompting the tip offer of $5,000 or up to that amount as described in various reports.
The Jan. 30 incident also drew attention from national figures. President Donald Trump posted on social media: “If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested, and take care of the situation very easily and methodically.”
Anyone with information about the breach, the vandalism, or the persons seen in the FBI images is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), contact the local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or submit a tip through the FBI tip portal. The FBI's Portland field office is handling the case and has posted the released video and images to assist identification.
