The 34th annual Chefs' Night Out arrives at the Lane Events Center this Monday already sold out, with more than 50 Lane County restaurants, breweries, wineries, caterers, and distilleries set to transform the venue into an unlimited tasting floor from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Every dollar from the $95 general-admission and $125 VIP tickets flows directly to FOOD For Lane County's hunger-relief mission: sponsors underwrite operating costs so that 100 percent of net proceeds reach food-insecurity programs, and organizers say the event historically generates enough revenue to fund between 300,000 and 400,000 meals.

The 2026 vendor lineup brings back several past award winners alongside new entrants. Elegant Elephant Baking Co., which earned top honors for Best Presentation and Hospitality last year for its hibiscus mint tea cakes and Earl Grey-and-orange scones, returns alongside North Fork Tavern, whose chicken saltimbocca coin with prosciutto, hazelnut, pickled asparagus gremolata, and red wine demi glace won Best Savory Bite in 2025. Jazzy Ladies Café & Club, an honorable mention last year for its tuna poke bite and Planteray rum punch, is also back. The list stretches across craft breweries including Alesong Brewing & Blending, Claim 52 Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing, Oakshire Brewing, and Falling Sky Brewing; wineries including King Estate, J. Scott Cellars, High Pass Winery, and Silvan Ridge; and student-run kitchens from Lane Community College's Baking and Culinary Arts programs, one of the most consistent crowd favorites on the floor.

For ticket holders, the night rewards early arrivals: VIP admission opens at 5:30 p.m., a full hour before general doors. No entry is permitted after 8 p.m. Organizers are also enforcing a clear-bag policy new to 2026, in alignment with other major Lane Events Center events; attendees may carry one clear bag no larger than 14 by 18 by 6 inches, plus a small clutch. Ballots for the People's Choice Award circulate throughout the evening, while judges separately present categories including Best Savory Bite, Best Sweet Bite, Best Vegetarian Bite, and the Mike West Overall Best Bite, named for the late Eugene restaurateur whose original fundraising dinner at Cafe Zenon seeded what grew into one of the region's longest-running culinary events.

FOOD For Lane County distributes food through more than 150 partner agencies and distribution sites across the county, serving children, families, seniors, and single adults living on limited incomes. With the 2026 edition already closed to new ticket buyers, organizers recommend watching for 2027 tickets to go on sale in mid-December, which the organization notes is timed for holiday gift giving.
