Eugene Releases Holiday Service Schedule, Many Facilities Closed

The City of Eugene posted its winter holiday schedule on December 18, 2025, outlining closures and limited hours across municipal services from December 24 through January 1. The City of Eugene announced on December 18, 2025 that administrative offices including City Hall would be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026. City services and facilities will operate on modified schedules surrounding those dates, with several locations closing early on holiday eves and remaining closed on the holiday days themselves.

Eugene Public Library locations and outside return slots will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 and on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. All library locations will be closed all day on Thursday, December 25, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026. Community centers across the city will be closed on December 25 and January 1 as well. Amazon Pool is closed for the season. Echo Hollow Pool and Sheldon Pool each will close at 2 p.m. on December 24 and December 31, and will be closed all day on December 25 and January 1.

Emergency response services will continue without interruption. Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year. The Downtown Public Safety Station will be closed, but the Downtown Patrol Team will remain on duty in the area. Fire and EMS Administration offices, including Ambulance Billing, will be closed on December 25 and January 1.

City managed parking garages, surface lots and on street meters will be free on December 25 and January 1, except for the train depot surface lot which requires payment year round. On street parking limits in the Arena District around Matt Knight Arena are in effect at all times as posted. Public Works crews will not perform street repair work on December 25 or January 1, while around the clock health and safety services such as regional wastewater treatment will continue.

Eugene Airport will be open for business as usual through the holidays, though airport administrative offices will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The City spay and neuter clinic will be closed on December 25 and January 1, and will operate with limited hours and services from December 24 through January 4. Wellness clinics will not run during that interval except for scheduled surgery on Tuesday, December 30. These schedules affect routine errands, travel plans and pet care during the holiday week. Residents are advised to confirm hours before making non emergency trips, to note free parking exceptions, and to plan library returns and pool visits around the adjusted hours.
