Six large-scale, colorful sculptures are headed for Florence's Highway 101 corridor, stretching between Highway 126 and the Siuslaw River Bridge, as the City of Florence Public Arts Committee advances the latest cycle of its Art Exposed Rotating Outdoor Art Gallery program.

The 2026-2028 round, branded Art Exposed ReVision Florence, marks the program's first expansion beyond Historic Old Town, where it has placed public art since 2018. The committee reviewed artist submissions at its March 9 meeting, posting the full packet, a slide presentation, and supplemental materials publicly for community review. The next scheduled step is a March 30 meeting at which the committee will select finalists for each of the six installation locations.

Community members have until March 29 to submit comments on the finalist submissions. The committee directed residents to read the Art Exposed ReVision Florence Committee First Review PDF and watch the recorded March 9 meeting video before weighing in.

Once selections are finalized, the sculptures are scheduled for installation in May 2026 and will remain on display through 2028.

Artists who have not yet applied should note that the call-for-artists deadline passed March 1, 2026. Submissions were accepted through the Call for Entry platform, known as CaFÉ, with a $25 application fee. The committee began laying groundwork for this cycle on November 24, 2025, and provided a formal timeline update at its January 26, 2026 meeting.

The March 30 finalist-selection meeting and all related documents, including the Committee First Review PDF and the March 9 video, are available through the City of Florence Public Arts Committee page.
