Lane Community College Seeks Applicants for Zone 1 Budget Committee Vacancy

The Lane Community College Board of Education opened applications for a vacant Zone 1 Budget Committee seat, with the appointment carrying a term that expires June 30, 2026.

The position is open to any registered voter living within the Lane Community College district. Notably, applicants do not need to reside in Zone 1 itself to be considered, broadening the pool of eligible candidates across the district.

To apply, submit a letter of interest and a current resume to Nicole Vickers, LCC Executive Assistant to the President, either by email at vickersn@lanecc.edu or by mail at the President's Office, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97405. All documents must be received by the end of business on April 17, 2026; the college will not consider late applications.

The reason for the Zone 1 vacancy was not disclosed in the announcement, and the name of the previous seat holder was not identified.

LCC serves more than 17,000 students annually across six locations in Lane County and online, drawing students and alumni from all 50 states and 79 countries. The college calculates that its students and alumni generate more than $675 million in local economic impact, supporting more than 8,900 jobs in the region.
