Lane County Man Gets Probation, Treatment, Jail Time in Domestic Violence Plea
A 30-year-old Eugene man received three years of probation and 10 days in jail after pleading to domestic violence charges that began as felony strangulation counts.
A Lane County Circuit Court judge sentenced 30-year-old Antonio Alex Parks on March 12 to three years of probation, mandatory domestic violence treatment, and 10 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to three counts of Menacing-Constituting Domestic Violence under a plea agreement, the Lane County District Attorney's Office reported.
The Class A misdemeanor convictions carry 36 months of probation for each count. Conditions of that probation require Parks to have no contact with the victim and to successfully complete domestic violence treatment. The 10-day jail term comes with credit for time already served and the court will consider alternatives to incarceration. Parks must also pay a $100 minimum fine for each of the three counts.
The case originated with considerably more serious allegations. The Lane County Grand Jury indicted Parks on two counts of Felony Strangulation, Coercion, and three counts of Misdemeanor Assault in the Fourth Degree for conduct alleged to have occurred over three separate dates. The sources do not specify the dates of the alleged conduct, and whether the grand jury indictments were dismissed or otherwise resolved as part of the plea agreement has not been confirmed.

The plea itself was reached following a Judicial Settlement Conference between the parties. Sentencing was then deliberately delayed, giving Parks the opportunity to engage in domestic violence treatment and demonstrate a commitment to rehabilitation before appearing for sentencing on March 12. That timeline served as one measure of his progress before a judge finalized the terms.
The Lane County District Attorney's Office attributed all sentencing details to court proceedings. The sentencing judge's name was not included in available records.
